01. Challenge
Originally a small fishmonger, Prawn on the Lawn quickly grew into a renowned seafood restaurant, earning the prestigious title of 'Seafood Restaurant of the Year' by The Caterer. This significant growth required a brand transformation to align with its elevated status.



02. Approach
We fully immersed ourselves in the world of POTL, dining at the restaurants, conducting in-depth interviews with the founders, meeting suppliers, and talking to loyal customers.
It was essential to update the brand with a contemporary look whilst preserving the independent, family-oriented vibe.






03. Solution
The evolution sees the unique quirks of the legacy logo embraced and used as a springboard for the new identity.
Typographic expression brings playful energy to applications which are fundamental to the brand. A softer contemporary colour palette broadens the appeal whilst the new smiley 'POTL' logo brings a welcome familiarity.




As Prawn on the Lawn continues to grow, we find new and exciting ways to express the brand.




Bringing the brand to life online sees a clean and uncluttered approach, heroing beautiful photography and embracing the whitespace.
Type is used to convey attitude and signpost key functionality. A simple UX pattern ensures users don't make reservations for the wrong restaurant location, and small flourishes of animation delight in moments of interaction.
